Teachers Pay Teachers Kick Off Sale!

Who doesn't love a sale?
To kick off my new Teachers Pay Teachers Shop I decided to throw my first sale. Sale starts today until 1/5 so make sure you get what you need!

Two of my favorite items are,

Get four games in one with the short vowel i matching game with four different levels.

  • 12 cards per level with 48 cards in total
  • The below level cards contain CVC short vowel i words with pictures on each card.
  • The on/below level cards contain CVC short vowel i words with pictures on just one card.
  • The on/above level cards contain CCVC or CVCC words with pictures on just one card.
  • The above level cards contain multi-syllable short vowel words with fill in the blank style sentence cards to match.
This game allows students to play and practice decoding short i words according to their reading needs! We played this when I taught first and it was a huge hit!! Just print on card stock, laminate, and use for many years to come!

This is an awesome Reading Workshop resource for upper elementary. Point of View is a tricky concept for students. This walks your students through all thing POV with notes, a graphic organizer, a "cheat sheet," higher-level thinking questions, and a quick assessment. All of these resources will be sure to help all of your students understand the concept in no time!

New Year, New Hobby!

After "borrowing" many classroom ideas and resources from (now) fellow teacher-bloggers, I have decided to "borrow"  the idea of creating a blog to share some of the things that I have created and will create this year!

I am a fourth grade teacher in a small and fabulous shore town in New Jersey. I have been blessed to have wonderful students and supportive families, and I could not have asked for a better school and team. This is my first year teaching fourth graders. I previously taught first grade in another school district for four years. I gave up my tenure to be closer to my family and in an area where I could see myself living. It was a very difficult and big decision, but it was certainly the right one. I could not be happier with my choice!!
I am planning to blog about all of my fourth grade adventures, as well as reflect back to some of my fabulous times in first grade. Please visit me often!
